KidZONE Elementary
Grades K through 5
We offer a full children's ministry at both services. KidZONE 8:30 and KidZONE 10:30 are totally different KidZONE lessons and activities. Different from service to service and different from week to week! Thus we offer two kids' lessons each week, along with activities to match that help our kids grow in their relationship with God.
KidZONE 8:30 - we offer a full children's ministry at 8:30 with worship, themed lessons, crafts and much more. Our children learn how to worship at their appropriate level by incorporating children's songs as well as ones we sing in the adult service. We offer themed lessons that concentrate on a specific area of the Bible and how to apply it to the child's everyday life at home and at school. Lessons are taught in a variety of creative ways including drama, games, story boards, media, videos, etc.
KidZONE 10:30 - we offer a full children's ministry at 10:30. Children spend their time learning about the Bible, rpaying, doing crafts, coloring, playing lesson related games, etc. Each week the lesson is part of a larger overall series designed for children in elementary school.
KidZONE Activity Tent - Our KidZONE staff have games and activities planned for the time between the two morning services. We offer 4-6 different activities each week at the KidZONE tent to help kids connect with each other and have fun while doing it. Don't rush away after the 8:30 service and don't come late to the 10:30 so your children don't miss out. Check out the KidZONE tent on the patio.
KidZONE Nursery/Preschool
Children birth through age 4
Your child's time in the KidZONE Nursery/Preschool is divided into various parts, depending on the age mix of the children present each week.
+ Play Time - a time for our kids to play and have fun with their teacher nad each other.
+ Story Time - a time for our kids to sit around their teacher and hear a story from the Bible or see a video story.
+ Snack Time - a time to snack and have a drink of juice.
+ Coloring Time - a time to wait for mommy and daddy and color a picture that is related to the story that we heard.
+ Clean up Time - a time for kids to help clean up the room, putting away whatever activities they did.
Please be sure to sign your child in when you arrive and sign them out when you pick them up. Please place a namebadge on them for easy identification.
Special Nursery Notes:
+ Allergies/Special needs - please let out staff know of any allergies or special needs your child may have. We will do our best to serve your child. Please inform us if your child is potty training.
+ Snacks - Children ages 2 through 4 are served snacks and juice boxes provided by the ministry. Snacks are simply and include animal crackers, fish crackers or graham crackers.
+ Emergencies - In the event of an emergency while your child is in the elementary room, a volunteer will notify our pastor who will be sure to notify you immediately.
+ Belongings - Please mark all of your child's belongings. We want to be sure youi get everything back that you brought into our classroom.
+Diaper Changing - Our staff will be sure that children are changed as changing is needed. If you have any special concerns reharding your child's changing, please let the KidZONE staff know when you drop your child off. Please provide the necessary supplies in your child's diaper bag.
Wellness policy:
We ask that all parents only bring their children to the rpeschool if their children are healthy and without colds or other contagious illnesses in an effort to protect the other children from contracting the illness. Please support us in protecting all of our children.
Staffing:
All volunteers and staff have been screened by our pastoral staff. All have filled out appropriate applications and have had reference checks and legal background checks done prior to serving your child. KidZONE Nursery is staffed by a preschool professional, Denise Gonzalez, who has been with CCC on staff since 2002. The weekly consistency of Denise's presence and love helps children become comfortable with their surroundings quickly.
