Pastor Darrell began leading Christ Community Church in the fall of 2000 after previous ministry roles at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois and Green Bay Community Church in Green Bay Wisconsin. He is a graduate of Rutgers - the State University of New Jersey. He completed Master of Divinity degree at the Haggard School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University. His passion is to help people love God and others more.
He is married to Heather. They have two sons, Steven (age 17) and Austin (age 11) and live in Rancho Penasquitos with their Shihtzu puppies, Sadie and Gracie.
Pastor Darrell serves as our senior pastor, the chairperson of our Elder Team and a member of our Trustee Team. His spiritual gifts are teaching, leadership and discernment.
Michael has been a part of the CCC family since 2003 when his family of nine emigrated to the United States from Sofia, Bulgaria. In March 2008, Mike joined our staff as the church's worship ministries area leader. In this capacity, Mike leads the instrumentalists and vocalists of the church's worship ministry. Mike also serves as a member of the area leader team. Additionally, Mike provides leadership for the church's young adult ministry.
Mike is single and works full-time as an ancillary clerk. In addition to playing the guitar, drums and piano, Mike is an accomplished oboe player often guest playing in area orchestras.
Pat serves as our area leader for children's ministries, serving kids from birth to grade 5. Pat's focus in this ministry is to help kids grow to love God and others more. She leads the team of leaders and teachers that serve the children each week in the KidZONE. She also serves as a member of the area leader team.
Pat is married to Larry, has two adult sons and lives in Scripps Ranch. She works as a bookkeeper full-time in downtown San Diego. Prior to serving with children's ministries, Pat served as a trustee, auditor and financial manager.
Pat's spiritual gifts are administration, helps and teaching.
Heather serves as area leader for student ministries, providing senior leadership for our middle school and high school ministry leaders. Her passion is to develop leaders who love students. Prior ro serving in this role, Heather has served as ministry leader for women, children, hospitality and big events.
Heather is married to Pastor Darrrell, has two sons, and resides in Rancho Penasquitos. She currently works full-time managing a Starbucks store in Rancho Bernardo. She is a graduate of Winona State University and grew up in the Chicago area.
Heather's spiritual gifts are hospitality, wisdom and shepherding.
Diane leaders our women's ministries, providing opportunities for women to grow in their love for the Lord and for each other. Diane has been a member of CCC since 2006 and has a deep passion to help women find friendship in Christ and each other.
Diane is single, lives in Mira Mesa and works for San Diego Electric & Gas. Diane's spiritual gifts are shepherding and wisdom.
Mark Williams Men's Ministry Facilities & Services Area Leader mark@gotochrist.com
Mark has been part of the CCC family since the fall of 2006 and a member of the leadership team since November 2007. In September 2009, Mark moved into his current role as an area leader. Mark provides senior leadership for our men's ministries, facilities teams and coordinates our Sunday services, overseeing our sound and media teams. He also serves as a member of the area leader team.
Mark is married to Karen and lives in Mira Mesa. They have six children, five still living at home with them. Mark and Karen manage an apartment complex in Mira Mesa on a full-time basis. Mark is a graduate student at Southwestern Seminary, working on his Master of Divinity.
Mark's spiritual gifts are administration, teaching and helps.
Larry serves as co-chairman of our Elder team, chairing Elder meetings in the absence of our senior pastor. Larry also serves on the KidZONE ministry team teaching 8-11 year olds and leads a men's "freedom from addiction" small group.
Larry has been attending CCC since 1996. He and his wife, Pat, live in Scripps Ranch. They have two adult sons and one daughter-in-law.
Larry's spiritual gifts are intercession and wisdom and his passion is for people to walk with Christ daily.

Eric serves as area leader for our information technology, database and strategy ministries, providing behind the scenes support for the systems and functions of the church.
Eric and and his wife, Kim, joined the CCC family in 2008. They are married and live in Scripps Ranch. They have three adult daughters, Sarah, Ashleigh and Lauren.
Eric's spiritual gifts are administration, helps and wisdom.
Christine serves as area leader for CCC's LoveActs ministries, which includes Operations Serve the Homeless, Homeless Recycling, Used Bible Drives, Annual Food Drive, Operation Christmas Child and Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center's Baby Bottle Drive. her focus is to develop ministries where the CCC family can get involved by serving people throughout our community.
Christine and her husband, Patrick, have been attending CCC since 2009.
Carol leads our ministry for children ages 4-7 and a long time member of CCC and has served in a variety of capacities, including children's ministry teacher, cookbook coordinator, and communion coordinator.
Carol is married and has two grown married sons and two grandchilren. She and her husband Andy live in Scripps Ranch. Carol is a retired elementary school teacher.
Carol's spiritual gifts are encouragement, creative communication, helps and craftsmanship.
Patrick serves as the ministry leader for our ushers and greeter teams. Additionally, he serves on the Operation Serve the Homeless team and has served on the facilities cleaning and painting teams.
Patrick was born in Ireland and is married to Christine. He serve as a proud member of the United States Marine Corp. He and his family live in Sabre Springs and have been attending Christ Community Church for the past two years.
James and Shannon lead our couples ministry, providing a place for other couples to connect and grow in their relationships with each other, with God and with other couples. James also serves on the worship team and Shannon serves in the youth ministry.
James and Shannon are married and live in Scripps Ranch. James is a doctoral student at University of California at San Diego in communications. Shannon is a licensed social worker.
James' spiritual gifts are helps and exhortation; Shannon's spiritual gifts are exhortation, helps and mercy.
